First contact

If you feel that counselling could be a supportive next step, I warmly invite you to get in touch. You’re welcome to contact me by email or through my contact form – whichever feels most comfortable for you.

I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process as simple and reassuring as possible. I typically respond within 24 hours, and we can then arrange a free 20-minute call – ideally via Teams, or by phone if that’s easier for you – at a mutually convenient time.

This initial conversation is an opportunity for me to understand what has brought you to counselling, your preferences for in-person or online therapy, and whether you’re looking for short-term or ongoing support. It’s also a chance to see whether working together feels right for you.

First session

Our first session is a chance to settle in. You’re welcome to ask questions, share any thoughts or concerns, or simply take your time as we begin to shape our work together.

Session structure & fees

Sessions are held weekly, on the same day and at the same time each week. This regular rhythm helps create a consistent, reliable space for therapeutic work to unfold.

My fee is £55 per session for both in-person and online counselling. Each session lasts 50 minutes. Missed sessions are charged, as part of your commitment to the counselling process and to the space we’re building together.

Confidentiality

Everything you share with me is treated with care and confidentiality. As part of my professional practice, I attend regular supervision to ensure I’m offering the best possible support. In supervision, I may share aspects of our work together, but this is held within a confidential, ethically bound space.

Outside of supervision, your information is not shared with anyone else, unless I have serious concerns about your safety or the safety of others. If that ever became the case, I would always aim to speak with you about it first, wherever possible.

Ethical body

I am a registered member of the BACP and work in line with their ethical framework for good practice.
